YES, we have a cute little guinea-pig!!!

O, Sanne is so thrilled! We finally got her the cutest little guinea-pig!! We promised her she could pick one out after we moved into our new home. Well, we are living here for a month now (and enjoying it very much!!), so it was time to buy her a guinea-pig! We went to the petstore and the 20-minute drive she was singing, laughing and having fun by herself in the back seat!! She can be such a bright and happy girl. Having fun with her own imagination. Naming all the thing she sees (I see a church, and another chu-hu-hurch, and a cow, and two cows and three co-ho-howsss (can you here her singing??). Well, it sure sounds funny! In the petstore we told her she could pick the one she loved most. They had 4 newborns (6,5 weeks old!!). I fell in love with the white with all fuzzy and punky hair and only a little bit of grey on his haid. But Sanne thought otherwise ;). She picked a boring brown one with straight hair. Well, that's all okay my girl (a la Ali Edwards...;). And we bought all the stuff you need (which was more expensive than the guinea-pig itself!). The ride home she kept talking about her new little friend! She decided to call him: Henry. Yep. His name is Henry. Funny isn't it? She watches DVD's sometimes and one of it is "Franklin". It's about a little turtle who has a bear and a beaver as friends. In one episode Franklin has to 'babysit' the little 'hamster' (sort of a mouse? don't know the English word, sorry). His name is Henry. So that's probably why she calls him Henry. I think it's stinking cute. Look at her: can she be anymore happy??

Well, do you have any pets?? And what is the name, names... tell me!!!

Have a nice weekend,

BLOND

Wooohoooo!! I've treated myself yesterday, big time!!! For some time now I wanted to buy a tea set of BLOND AMSTERDAM. That's such a cool Dutch brand. Even Robbie Williams (from UK, you American girls don't know him probably, but he is the biggest artist in Europe!!), Kylie Minoque, Jamie Oliver has a BLOND tea pot!! So, there was a 20% discount, and I bought a tea pot, 6 coffee cups and 2 big tea cups. Just for me. Just because I LOVE IT. Just because it's so girly girly!! Look at it:
Isn't it lovely? All painted by hand. They've so much awesome stuff. Look at their site (also in English): www.blond-amsterdam.nl

O, and look at the kitchen tiles!!! Arjan started yesterday. So it's not finished yet, as you can see, but the color is awesome!! I'll post pictures when it's finished!

Sanne is playing wonderful by herself. She always could enjoy herself for quite some time, but now it's different. She plays with little stuffed animals and she makes funny voices for every differtent animal. Last night I picked her up from my friend (she goes to her 2 times a week, when I'm at work). I went on the bike, because now it's a little spring coming trough, and I just loved to ride the bike, with her in the seat before me. My tyre was a little bit flat, and I thought it was time to buy a bicycle pump. We went home, and immediately she took the bicycle pump to her little bike and started to 'pump' air in her bicycle tyre. It was so freaking funny to see her go with that thing. She used both hands. And all of a sudden she's playing this game that one hand talked to the other hand. The hands were arguing!! One hand told the other hand to get off! She was pulling to one side, and than to the other, as if the hands were from 2 little kids fighting over a toy. It was so funny to see her do that. And the voices she made. Well, it's probably all a part of the growing up, but I had never seen this.... This morning I took a shower, and she played with her wooden doll 'house' for the very first time since ages. It has been there since Christmas (because mommy loves it!), but now she's is really playing with the little people, taking a bath, walking up and down the stairs and talking to eachother. Next time I have to take my camera and take some pictures, but also make a little film of it. It's to cute!!

Well, that's all for now, have a nice weekend!!

Dilemma....

Okay, what to do when another child hit your child in the face...... I went grocery shopping and when Sanne's is good in the shop, she is allowed to ride in the 'airplane' in front of the store. You know, like one at the fair. She was sitting in her 'airplane' and having fun. I was getting my groceries in my bags on my bike (yes, we do cycle a lot in Holland...!). Suddenly I heart a loud scream. I looked up and saw Sanne crying really hard. I walked towards her and another lady standing by her said: that little boy hit her, with his flat hand right in her face!! Just because he wanted in and she said: "I'm now, you can go later". I looked at the little kid. He looked really daring at me. I thought he was about the same age as Sanne is, because he was as little as she is. So about 2,5 years old. His mother came running and asked what had happened. I said her son hit my little girl in her face. She was shocked and took him by his arm. She wanted him to say sorry. He just laughed and looked daring again.... She apologized to me. I thought she shouldn't, but he should. He just wanted to leave.... She said he was really bold and it was a problem shopping with him. She never knew what he was going to say.... I asked her what age he was and he replyed "what are you talking strange!!". He is a Moroccan boy, so I thought he thinks I sound funny because I don't speak Moroccan.... The mother said he was 4 years old already but still really little. I was surprised. A child that age should know better. And I'm convinced she had to punish him or let him say 'sorry'. Not let him get away with it that easy. What a lesson for him: hitting someone (really hard actually, she had a real red cheek), and be bold and not getting punished. Maybe he is learning at home that a man hits a woman? Or am I bold now?? Please let me know: what do you do in a situation like this?? Luckely I could explane to Sanne that the little boy wasn't nice. She said it herself: he was really naughty.

First time being published!!!!!

Well, I'm very excited. I just sended in a bunch of layouts to a Dutch Scrapbookmagazine: ScrapAmore. I know, it's not Creating Keepsakes, but hey, I'm being published!! She picked one of them for the summer edition. And I'm gonna make something fun for Christmas pictures, and she'll be publishing that to!! So twice being published!!! Yahooooooooo, can anybody be more happy ;)) Yes YOU HOF-ladies are!!! Congrats to all of you, even if I don't even know your names yet....

You're al very curious to which layout is being plublished right... So you'll have to wait till the summer edition.... I created a cool "published" album on 2peas, because now I'm getting into it!!! After publication I can show the layout again at 2peas. And believe me, I'll be!!

Sanne has been called to come join the 'preschool'. the 'school' you go to at the age of 2 - 3 years of age (before kindergarten...). She's so excited. She just cannot wait. When we walk by, she usually asks me: "when can I go to Peuterspeelzaal" (yes: that is the Dutch word for it you ladies...). And then she tells me: "and after that I go to Kindergarten and after that I can take swimming lessons.... "Ha ha, she's in a hurry... Well I'm not. I think it's great she'll go to Preschool. Make friends her age, painting, colouring, playing with clay and all that great stuff she loves to do at home! And I totally love that to, so she's probably a lucky girl.... But on the otherhand I also have that feeling: you are growing up so incredibly fast my little girl.... (here she is only a few months old, love this pic of her with her funny tongue...

I know you cannot stay little always, but you're such a sweetheart right now. She tells me more than 10 times a day: "Mommy, I think you are really sweet..." I answer by: "O, Sanne, I think you are really sweet to!!". And she replies with: "Yes, I know..". Ha ha, little funny girl.

It's so great, now we've moved to a house wíth a garden: she plays outside daily. It's more difficult getting her inside for dinner. Her hands are freezing, but she won't wear gloves... Tough little one, he?

Well, hope you all have a nice weekend: I'll be scrapping...!!!
Love,

New pictures...!

So, we live here since 2 weeks, and things are finally getting in order... The shower is working, since today, YEAH! The bathroom isn't fineshed yet, but we can shower and go to the toilet. Some pics to get an idea of what it is like (and the accessoire-color will be PINK, so that's totally cool!! Ofcourse I'll show you some pics when the whole thing is finished...

And the kitchen is like this now:

We can cook, YEAH. Ofcourse the white old tiles will be replaced by cool limegreen ones... but that's the next project for Arjan. He really works his ass of getting everything done. And I'm taking pictures and scrap away ;))

So everything you see is white, will be either grey or limegreen. O, and the white cabinets in the front are just temporarely. They ran out of grey paint....

And ofcourse the livingroom. I like colors, so our couch is lively red. And I love tulips, luckely for me I live in Holland ;).

When we are more finished, I'll show you some new pics! Now I seriously need some scrapping time ;)

We are moved!!!

Yes... finally!!! We are moved to our new home... Well.... or should I say camping? haha. Everything went well on Sunday 27th February. But in our home we still didn't have: hot running water, no shower, no cooking thing in the kitchen... But he, we have our new home! No pictures as if yet... I know you want to see some... But I just didn't have the time to take some.. I'll try tomorrow when my little princess is sleeping ;)). I have internet since today... So I was showing since of not be able to internet for a long time... shaking and feeling sick...haha.

We live here for exactly 1 week now, and I feel SOOO at home here. Way better than our former home (which was a big apartment...). On Mondaymorning 8 o'clock, Sanne was playing outside in the snow!! Yes we were lucky. On Sunday it was dry (cold) but sunny. Since Monday we are having real winter weather. Snow and stuff.... But great for Sanne playing in the garden.

We just had a little issue with the old lady (like 80) who bought our apartment. She told us she didn't like the curtains, so we tought we would help her and get them all off... On wednesday we went to the notary to sign the papers. Before we went to our apartment and made a round. Our broker and her broker (and her daughter) were there. Nobody noticed the curtains weren't there. At the notary we all signed. He asked if everything was in order. She said it was perfect. The next day I get a call from my broker. She said: Miss XXXX called. She said there were no curtains!!! O... We removed them (and they were used during our moving to protect furniture and stuff... so not clean also anymore ;). My broker told her broker (are you following this??), that we didn't have everything anymore. Her (miss XXXX) solution was: she was going to buy new ones (REALLY expensive ones) and we were to pay half of it. I almost choked laughing. Was she feeling sick?? I'm not paying anything. My broker suggested that we gave back what we still had (we were not using them anyway) and for the missing part, we would pay half of the money we paid (really cheap IKEA curtains...). Because we thought it was nonsense that the brokers were dealing with this, we decided I would call miss XXX. I did. And I already did not like the woman, but after that phonecall I HATED her. She really was humiliating me. She talked like I was a little girl who didn't understand how to sell a house... I was biting my tongue off. Said what she wanted. She wanted an "offer". And I had to deal with our brokers, because the made enough money out of her, she said. What a bitch (pardon my French..).
The next day I decide to call the notary to ask what I had to do legally. He said she was just getting to try some money, because she didn't even wanted the curtains! He said that the only thing I had to do was return the curtains. Money wasn't even a choice. So I called my broker and told her the horrible telephone conversation I had with miss XXXX. And also that I talked to the notary and his answer. She then again called the broker from miss XXXX and he told that Miss XXX wanted money... We told she could get her curtains back... And than she said to her broker, and this is just to funny: LET HER BURN THE CURTAINS!!! Ha ha. I laughed out loud. What a stupid woman. She tought to gain some money out of us, just because we made a mistake. Luckely the broker(s) and the notary all thought the same about this woman. She is such a money-grubber!! And now I know how she is become so rich....Luckely this time, she didn't get what she wanted.....

I'll be posting some new pics soon I hope!!!
