Finally, another BOM-lo

Hi there,
Finally I made another BOM lo. I'm so thankfull I'm in this group. Otherwise I wouldn't make the time to do those at all!! So, Ellen, if you're reading this: THANX again for inviting me!!

The subject was what you were dreaming off when you were little. I choose my ever changing career dreams :). I wanted to be a princess (in Kindergarten), newsbabe on the TV (haha, keep on dreaming:), moviestar, famous, laborant, teacher, journalist, owner of a bar, secretary, and I become a business owner ;). Not a bad choice I guess.... I'm doing this since May 2000. And I'm not complaining. Working parttime, doing stuff I love and feel FREE. Well mostly that is :).

Yes, I'm not blond anymore.... I change my hair a lot of times. In this pics it was dark brown. But now already it's kind of copper (is that a word??) with some blond pieces.. Well... it sure looks nice ;)

In the little strips are my ages and my "wannabe" professions. I love those Cherry Arte papers. I'm thinking about sending in for the DT call... Not that I think I make a chance, but only the fun of participating sounds good to me! What about you??

And this is my take on the BH-sketch from some time ago. Didn't want to post it. But now OBVIOUSLY they didn't pick me up. Well... their loss :))

I so love these pictures of Sanne and me. The journaling is about how we suddenly had a funny ritual. At bedtime we walk in the hallway passing by a big mirror. We usually make faces in it. And all of a sudden I had this EUREKA moment, and grabbed my camera. I can do this!! I can make pictures of us with one hand. And it worked!! Later on I found out a LOT of scrapbookers do this. Haha, so far for the EUREKA part....

And, finishing by a quote of Henry Ford I so love
"Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off the goal".

Is that man true or what?? Love all of his quotes. Also used one in our 5th Anniversary book of "Artifex Support"!

Okay, have a great day!
Love, Revlie

I've been tagged by Ishirlz (thanx girl).
The assignment is to pick someone and write 5 things about them. I picked Corinne Delis.

1. She is so freaking funny, I just LOVE her humor;
2. She is so creative, It's a shame HOF can't be entered by Dutchies...I'm sure she will be the HOF number 1, no doubt about it!
3. She inspires me so much about the subjects she uses in her layouts. She's not afraid to scrap about sensitive stuff or about strong opinions;
4. She is such a great mum to her boys. Decided to live her dream and become a SAHM;
5. She is such a strong woman, since her life has changed after Anthony was born. She stays positive, makes the best out of everything and continues to live her dream;
6. I just had to add another one!! I love it how I can e-mail her about any question scrapbook related or not. She always answers within minutes, never tired of my asking questions (well, maybe tired but not showing LOL.

Corinne, just wanted to let you know you're an inspiration to me!! Keep up the good work!

Now off to the people tagged by me!! I would love to tag my Dutch friends for this one: Anita, Birgitte, Florence, Danielle, Alette, YOU'VE BEEN TAGGED.

I am

SO CREATIVE ....

So, I think I'm soooooo creative LOL. Just saw some cute animals in a childrens book, I decided to give it a try and paint them on canvas for Sanne's room. Ofcourse she's painting with my expensive Making Memories paint also, haha. Well, get them hooked at an early age, right?

Second Easter Day we went to a zoo with only monkeys. It's really cool (well, for the monkeys that is....). They walk 'lose' and some come sit on your shoulder. I actually don't like this kind of parcs (or any amusement parcs what so ever...). And today was actually no exception. First of all it was way to busy (what did I expect on Second Easter Day...). The 'rent buggy's' were sold out.... I forgot my camera (THE WORST!!!), and Sanne got shitted on the head by a monkey!! Yes she did. And it was so grose!! Yeak. We were just standing at a path, and there are trees over that path. All of a sudden a lot of noice, 3 of 4 (little) monkey's came climbing on the threes and let it all lose.... It was really sad for her. She cried (ofcourse!!) and even more because some really 'nice' people started laughing out loud. Fools. I gave them my REALLY PISSED OFF LOOK. And hey, you better move on if you see that face ;). I cleaned her head and hear with the baby whipes. Thank god for those!! And ofcourse we went home. She stunk terribly. I bought her a little fur monkey (I am a sucker, cannot resist this kind of stuff...).

Just made a cute LO for Tina (Aidansmommy) who was celebrating her birthday tuesday. We could scraplift one of her fabulous designs. It was hard picking just one... but this one matches perfectly with some pictures I took last weekend of Sanne & me (just holding the camera aimed at us and hoping the shots looks cool....).

So this is my version.

And this is the fabulous Tina's:

Have a great night. I'll be watching CSI. My other addiction, and the ONLY thing I watch on TV. Nothing else is better then scrapping!! Love, Revlie

Preschool: she did it!!

Well, I'm so proud of my brave little girl! She went to preschool for the first time on Mondaymorning.

This is the best shot, of her in the morning, enthousiasticly running because it was HER day!! She was so excited! And the other picture of her walking around with her little backpack, man she's growing up fast!!

Normally they start at 8.45 till 11.30. I get to bring her on Monday on 9.15 because it was her first time and the 'teacher' had some stuff to explain to me. I was preparing her for a few weeks already. Telling her that she would go there and play with other children, learn songs, and be creative. And that Mommy would leave. She was OK with that. I used to ask "and Sanne, if you go to preschool, what is Mommy gonna do?". And she would yell enthousiasticly "WORKING"! Well, that's what I told her. Didn't want her to think I'm gonna scrap, because she wants that also, LOL.

For the first half hour she sat on my lap, and I seriously thought it was gonna be a problem when I left. But I kept acting happy to her, even though I saw her face telling me other signs.....Around 10 o'clock I said to her that Mommy really needed to go, and that she get to play with all the toys and the other children. She tried once: I wanna stay with you....But I said, No Sanne, you know what I've explained to you, but you get to WAVE to me (as iff that 's so amazingly COOL, haha). She was thrilled and ran to the window. I followed her, because I needed to get a kiss (can't leave without it!). Outside I raced on my bike (yep...! sportive isn't it?) and went to the other side of the building. I was waving my head off. She stood in front of the window, but was looking the other way, inside the room, because exciting things were going on! Finally she saw me, and she waved happy and laughed with the teacher and the other children. It was so STRANGE to leave her with strangers. Well, ofcourse all educated people, but hey, they ARE strangers to me still!!

I went to my company which is right NEXT to the building of the preschool (so fine for me!!). I talked to Arjan and my employees about how happy I was, and I only had 1 hour left for myself. Haha, no scrapping time at all!!! I biked (is that a word...;) home, and couldn't wait till 11.30 to pick her up. On the bike again, yep, love the fresh air now! Inside I could peak through some kind of hole, but she immediately recognized me!! They were sitting in a circle and singing songs. She yelled MAMAAAAAAAA and waved. I was afraid she was gonna cry and run to me, but she was sitting relaxed and singing along!! Wow, I was SOOOO proud of my brave little girl. When I went in the room, she came running to me and telling it was so fun and all good! Wow, that really made my day. She can keep up with all strangers and probably feel good about it also!

The next morning, on my day off, I asked her what to do. Usually we go swimming, to the childrens farm, playground, you name it. She said: to PRESCHOOL!!! Haha. Well, tomorrow she'll go againg. Keeping my fingers crossed that she's still ok with it.... I'll be working till 11.30 and than pick her up and be FREE. Yes. I'm gonna work 2,5 days in stead of 3 and i LOVE it. Hope all goes well.

Okay, rather long story.... maybe I should learn how to express myself in a shorter way.... Well, tell me, how were your experiences with preschool? Or Kindergarten? Or Highschool? Or.....
Love

Little Miss Smartie Pants....

Okay, 2,5 years old, and know how to work the keyboard and the mouse. I say: NO WAY. Well, it's happening. Sanne has been asking before to get at the computer. Today I thought it was okay, let her play a bit. We surfed to the Sesamestreet site and she played really cool. She simply KNOWS how the mouse works... I'm really surprised. She knows when she moves her hand the arrow on her screen is her hand actually. She clicks the left mouse button to activate a game or a song. Then she knows with button to click to get back to the main menu and choose another song. Once she accidently clicked with her right button, so she get this 'quick menu'. I pressed the 'escape' button. The next time she accidently hit the right mouse button and got that 'quick menu' on her screen again, she just pushed the 'escape' button, without me saying a word. I just sat there in awe..... Amazing. Smart little girl.

And she was having such a blast with all the Sesamestreet songs. Really funny songs. So I just sat and read a magazine.... she just can't stop amazing me. Love this kid.

Well, and I've some more fun pictures to share with you. Let's start with my mother-in-law. She is really cool. Look at her.

And she's about 63 years old. That surprised you right?? She is fit, always walking her dogs, and she's always trying to look cool. Look like 30 hahaha. She's ok.

And Sanne having fun at grandpa en grandma's place. She walked outside without her coat on, and she had a blast fooling us all.

And this picture is to funny: Sanne with MY MAKING MEMORIES paint, and my canvas... There it goes.... well, another excuse to buy some more YEAH.

Well I guess I make a lot of photo's, daily. I just looked, in March I made 384 pictures. Is that normal, or sick? I so love my camera. So love my girl. And so love scrapbooking. I think it's my duty to collect these memories and put them nicely together. I wish I had such great pictures of my childhood. I'm not complaing, but I only have a few babypictures, which were taking by a photograper, so I don't know how I look like 'normal' LOL. Anyway, tell me: how much pictures do you take. And do you develop them all (I do.... crazy me... I scrapbook the greatest, and I print them my self. All of the pictures are developed by a picture-store...and I put them away in 'normal' photo albums
I pick up my pictures, hundreds a month, they usually give me 'the look'. You can hear them thinking: "there's that crazy woman again". Hahaha. So tell me: how crazy are you??
